In Brisbane, the magnificent purple hues of Jacarandas in full blossom herald the coming of the spring wedding season. As locals, Shavorjn and Denham’s wedding day was brilliantly timed to take advantage of the season’s flourishings for their wedding photographs. Having chosen the beautiful 19th-century sandstone arched patio of the Parliament House for their more formal wedding images, the spacious green lawns of the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, softly carpeted with the petals of a huge jacaranda, added a stunning contrast to their wedding photographic collection. The pre-wedding photography also captured the couple doing their preparations in very different ways. Shavorjn and her bridesmaids enjoyed the luxury waterfront setting of the Stamford Plaza Hotel in Brisbane’s CBD to kick back and get gorgeous in the privacy of their suite. On the other hand, Denham and his groomsmen were lining up for close encounters with a cut-throat razor at Emporium Barber, Brisbane’s boutique barber for fellas with style. And after all the pre-wedding pampering, when the two took to the dance floor – they were a picture of flawlessness!

Radiant in a sleeveless white lace gown from Pronovias and lace-trimmed full-length train, Shavorjn’s was the perfect match for her dashing dance partner, Denham. A professional dancer, Denham wowed his bride, at first teaming up with her for a spine-tingling dance routine that had her in his arms and in a spin and then later, a dance he performed on his own just for her. Catching these fabulous routines on film and in still shots added plenty of excitement to our wedding photography and videography planning.  We were keen to catch the action of course, but also ensure we kept that underlying essence of romance. This wedding couple made that easy – they were poetry in motion. In fact, whenever they were together, the love Shavorjn and Denham shared shone through.
