Nick and Julie made the most of their Brisbane urban wedding bringing together some of the iconic locations in and around the city. The Meriton Hotel provided luxury surroundings for the wedding preppers with Nick and his groomsmen heading out into the neighbouring streets for their pre-wedding group shots while Julie settled into her suite and enjoyed a morning of fun and glam time with her girlfriends. The couple took their vows in a traditional ceremony at the Holy Trinity Church in Fortitude Valley. Julie was the radiant bride in a trumpet cut white lace gown from top Brisbane bridal designer George Wu finished with a long, tiered train and bouquet of white roses. The bridesmaids completed Julie‚Äôs graceful styling in soft blush full-length, strapless gowns and white posies. Nick and his groomsmen partnered up in black tie and tux, with Nick donning bight spotted socks to add a splash of colour. After the ceremony, the wedding party headed to one of our favourite wedding photo spots ‚Äď Fort Lytton National Park on the fringe of the Brisbane River.

Being a Brisbane wedding photographer and Brisbane videographer, we get as excited as the bride and groom when it comes photographing the happy couple in places as romantic and inspiring as Fort Lytton. We also often do a wedding cake and couple shoot prior to the reception and this was the case with Nick and Julie. Sometimes this is done to add another intimate aspect to the album, when a couple decides to have just the videographer with them for the duration of the reception or if the couple chooses not to have any photographers present at the reception. The pre-wedding cake and couple images place the bride and groom alone in the room and under soft lighting, capturing more special moments of their day.
